Lipi Commerce ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of Lipi Technologies, a registered business name of Sambasiva Group Private Limited (CIN U53200AP2025PTC122731; PAN ABSCS1047F; GSTIN 37ABSCS1047F1Z4), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Lipi Commerce merchant mobile application and platform.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, business name, and store details you provide during registration.
• Device information: Device push token (for order notifications), device type (Android/iOS).
• Usage data: Orders viewed, dashboard activity within your own store.
• Business data: Order information from your store that you access through the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Lipi Commerce merchant dashboard
• To send push notifications when new orders are placed in your store
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To improve the platform and fix issues

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with third parties except with service providers engaged to operate the platform, namely:

• Push-notification delivery: a messaging provider used to send order alerts to your device
• Cloud infrastructure & hosting: providers that run the platform and your store's backend
• Managed database services: providers used to store platform data
• As required by law or to protect our legal rights

4. Data Security

Your authentication token is stored securely using the device's encrypted secure storage. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your merchant account is active. Push tokens are removed when you log out. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Children's Privacy

Lipi Commerce is intended for business use by merchants only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age.

8. WhatsApp Business Integration

Merchants may connect their WhatsApp Business Account to Lipi Commerce to enable in-chat commerce. When a merchant connects their account:

• We store their WhatsApp Business Account ID, Phone Number ID, and an access token issued by Meta on their behalf.
• We use these credentials solely to send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates) and to sync their product catalog to WhatsApp.
• Customer messages received via WhatsApp are processed to enable an in-chat shopping experience and are not stored beyond the active session unless required to complete an order.
• We do not use WhatsApp Business data to serve advertising or share it with third parties other than Meta as required by the WhatsApp Business Platform Terms.
• Merchants can revoke access at any time from their Lipi Commerce dashboard or from their Facebook Business Integrations settings. See our Data Deletion page for full removal instructions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
